ICZM in Latvia

State of implementation of the European Recommendation on ICZM:

Considered as a part of the national spatial planning, specifical ICZM-Strategies won‘t be developed. The importance of the involvement in European funding projects like LIFE, INTERREG shows also that ICZM in on a good way in Latvia.

Even if the European Commission didn‘t receive a specifical strategy for ICZM, the European Commission recognizes the comprehensive approach of ICZM in the framework of regional documents of spatial planning.
