ICZM in Denmark

State of implementation of the European Recommendation on ICZM:

No ICZM-Strategy has been defined for Denmark

This situation is partly linked to the context of structural reform, which began in 2003 and will be operational from 2007.The reform will modify the responsability for water management, nature conservation and spatial planning. The municipalities will obtain the competences former belonging to the regions.
